In the museum records of the Lord of Dawn, there is said to be a mysterious race that once forged a great empire. This race was blessed with the power to swallow up light, for they are able to temporarily blackout a space. This was not the only talent they possessed, as they also had the ability to blink through physical space, being able to surprise enemies for a sneak attack. What’s most terrifying about them, however, is what was on their tails, a concoction of naturally sourced poison, for those unfortunate enough to come in contact with the poison would should say their last words, but ultimately this is also what caused the demise of their very own race. In the annals, it does not give the specifics on how this race went extinct, but it is certain that this terrifying race definitely did walk upon the Land of Dawn. Since their extinction, humanity had progressed prosperously, however, but the history books could not predict that one day these creatures would slowly creep out of the shadows again.

Race Advantage – Hero who casts a skill near Helcurt will be silenced for 1.5 seconds. This effect has a 3 seconds cooldown on one enemy. This makes Helcurt a good assassin against mage. Not only he can get near to them without having problem with your ultimate and first skill, the silence effect on his passive will guard you from a burst damage combo.
Shadow Raid – Vanishes right away and appears at a target location, dealing 150(+70% Total Physical Attack) physical damage to nearby enemies and silencing them for 1.5 seconds. Using after Dark Night Falls will also inflict an extra slow effect on enemies that lasts 1.5 seconds. This will gives you a good mobility and crowd control at the same time.
Deadly Poisoned Stinger – Active: Fires his Deadly Poisoned Stingers forward, each stinger deals 200 (+100% Extra Physical ATK) physical damage (minions and jungle monsters only take 70% of the damage), slowing the enemy by 12% (effect stacks) for 3 seconds. Passive: Each basic attack increases one Deadly Poisoned Stinger, it stores up to 5 stingers and lasts 8 seconds. Level this up as this will be your source of burst damage on early game.
Dark Night Falls – Passive: Increases attack speed by 10%. Active: Helcurt summons the night, making all enemy heroes lose nearby vision and all their allied vision for 3.5 seconds while increasing his attack speed by 10% and movement speed by 65% for 8 seconds. (Enemy’s Dark Night Falls has no effect on Helcurt)
Haas’s Claws – +70 Physical Attack / Unique: +20% Lifesteal Unique Passive-Insanity: When HP drops below 40%, the hero will receive an extra 10% physical lifesteal. This will gives you sustain on both laning and jungling. It has also a decent attack damage for an early power spike.
Rapid Boots – Unique: +50 Movement Speed. I get it over the attack speed based boots so I can roam freely with decent movement speed. Helcurt is best on ganking so make sure to always roam and bring threat to your opponent in lane.
Blade of Despair – +170 Physical attack / +10% attack speed / Unique Passive – Despair: Deals an extra 10% damage to an enemy in any abnormal state (stunned, knocked airborne, transformed, disabled). For early power spike. The best item in terms of attack power as well as boosting you with another 10% damage for your opponent under crowd control. Both your first and second skill beings crowd control to your opponent so activating the bonus damage will never be a problem at this case.
Blade of the 7 Seas – +65 Physical attack / +300HP / +20% Attack Speed / Unique Passive-Fury: Basic attacks will increase hero’s movement speed by 10%. Passive-Steamroll: Skills will lower the target’s physical defense by 25 points (applied before damage), last for 2 seconds.
Malefic Roar – +60 Physical Attack / Unique: +40% Physical Penetration / Unique Passive: Armor Buster: Basic attack will ignore 20% of a defense turret’s defensive armor. Good against tank as well as increasing your physical burst damage together with Blade of the 7 Seas.
Immortality – +800 HP / +40 Magic resistance / Unique Passive-Immortal: Resurrect in 2 seconds after dying and get 15% HP and a shield that can absorb 300-1000 damage. Shield lasts for 3 seconds. Cooldown for this effect is 180 seconds. Like what I mentioned as the biggest disadvantage on this hero, Immortality is the best item you can get to increase your survival rate even after getting focused fire. You have damage and attack speed and to ensure that you will not get easily wiped out even in late game, get immortality and you will be useful even on your weakest side.
